ProtIn consultancy was established in 2013 as consultancy agency for industrial, academic, governmental and EU parties to accelerate innovations in food, technical and medical applications by advising on the implementation of protein-based functionalities in dedicated applications. The vast experience in fundamental aspects of protein behavior in complex systems makes ProtIn consultancy a valued partner to complement your own R&D. In the last decade ProtIn consultancy together with its customers developed succesfully new products that afre introduced in the food-market, a number of biodegradable technical products and applications with a direct medical impact.

 

The mission of ProtIn consultancy is to support customers in developing innovative products and create opportunities for new technical approaches by exploiting functionality derived from proteins.

 

The main focus of our activities is to set product functionality and stability by compositional specifications and/or industrial processes. Moreover, ProtIn consultancy contributes to strategy-development for the public and private Research & Development sector and provides internal training and knowledge-transferon the potential of protein functionality in products to your experts .

 

  •  More than 25 years of experience in research on protein functionality in relation to its impact on length scales ranging from nanomerter upto centimeters.
  • Fields of expertise: protein structure, folding and stability, protein purification, protein chemistry and engineering, (optical, vibrational, and resonance) spectroscopy, colloidal chemistry and chemical physics, rheology of (semi-)solids and interfaces, texture analysis
  • 20 years of experience in staffing and running multi-disciplinary project teams in a synergy of scientific excellence and industrial relevance
  • Fund raising at regional, national and European and participation in international networks
  • Supervision and training of 16 Ph.D.’s; experienced lecturer in biophysics, bio-spectroscopy, food physics and medical applications
  • 20 years of experience in project- and research program-management, including human resources, reporting and financial management
  • Author on more than 150 research articles and book chapters and inventor on 14 patents; an h-index of 39, a g-index of 64, total sum of impact factors 416, total number of citations >4000 (dd. 10-2019 based on entries in Scopus)
